This is one of the short stories I will have in the upcoming first issue of Unreachable Beasts. It's an adaptation of one of my favorite russian folk tales.

Intense and scary and there's a deep beauty to the tale. Very cool that you can transmit so much emotion with so few words. Absolutely astonishing.

ReplyDeleteYeah it's from a real folk tale, found in a book collected by Aleksandr Afanas'ev that I've got. That rant was pretty much word for word from the book, and one of the main reasons I made this comic in the first place.
